Beautiful set of 3 authentic Michael Thonet no. 14 bentwood chairs with webbing seats by Thonet. Model nr 14 is without a doubt the most famous and most sold chair in the history of furniture. Designed in 1859 by Michael Thonet, it is considered the first true example of industrial design. Consisting of only six pieces of steam bent solid beech wood, the chair is so minimal and elegant, it still looks contemporary today. These are thee very old originals with embossed stamp. size; seat diameter 44 cm; comfortable seat height of 47 cm. Beautiful patina, lovely dark-honey color. Webbing seats are redone.
