Small english furniture of the 18th century in oak. Queen ann period. In england, it is called lowboy (low furniture type dressing table or small desk. As opposed to the tallboy furniture high style secretary). Its feet are called "cabriole" because they look like small hooves. It has been cleaned, sanded, wax-fed. Very stable and heavy. Solid drawers. Old-fashioned cabinetmaking assembly without nails or screws. Cutting wood that proves the old artisanal quality (traces of scissor strokes and hand saw). Dovetail assembly (shaped like a swallow's tail) clearly visible on drawers. Please note: handles that were not original have been replaced with ones similar to those of the time. They are made of brass and were made by a french bronzier. Some small gaps of wood on the drawers but not very visible because color very uniform. Dimensions: 78cm wide. 49cm deep. 72 high.
