18th century mirror

Superb period mercury mirror. Its carved and gilded wooden frame in the baroque style is decorated with scrolls and acanthus leaves. It has an original patinated gilded finish. It is a model similar to those often used in aristocratic interiors in france and italy. The visible wear on the gilding and the mirror itself, with its stains and imperfections, suggests that it has stood the test of time, which gives it an authentic antique charm.
