Pair of Louis XV bedside tables in marquetry wood and marble.

Pair of Louis XV style bedside tables, likely dating from the first half of the 20th century, topped with a veined beige marble surface and adorned with chiselled gilded bronze. Crafted with rich marquetry work featuring geometric and floral patterns, they showcase typical curved lines and rest on slender cabriole legs. Their refined format will add a touch of classic and warm elegance on either side of a bed or at the end of a sofa in an eclectic living room. Condition: The furniture is sound, perfectly stable and functional, with drawers sliding easily. The wood retains a beautiful warm patina with some superficial micro-scratches from use and very discreet nuances on the varnish, while the marble tops display their original natural veining. Subtle signs of age that are purely aesthetic testify to the authenticity of these pieces without altering their overall appearance.
