Magnificent and large antique salad bowl (vegetable dish / soup tureen) circa 1909, in porcelain by Oscar Shaller. Generous silhouette resting on a flared pedestal. Neoclassical decoration consisting of a blue frieze of stylised motifs punctuated by a scattering of diminishing flowers. Enhancement with a hand-applied gold line on the upper edge, the pedestal, and the elegant scroll handles. Finely moulded side grips adding refinement to the whole. Thick and heavy porcelain. This piece can naturally regain its original function on an elegant table but also serves as a beautiful decorative piece in a charming kitchen or an antique dresser. Can be used as a large salad bowl, soup tureen, fruit bowl, centrepiece, and more. In very good condition. Light signs of use around the rim.
