The primate seat is a unique piece, imagined and designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1970. The latter, renowned for his ability to reinvent seating, offers here a kneeling chair, to find a freer and more natural posture. This piece is part of the collection of various museums, such as that of the Pompidou Center in Paris. The user sits on the upper part, while the knees rest on the lower section. The two parts connected by a stainless steel rod are padded with polyurethane foam for more comfort and covered with white vinyl. The whole rests on a black polystyrene base. Edition: Zanotta, circa 1970. Traces of use and lack in the skai, without tear. In original condition
