A rare collector's vase from the legendary German manufacturer Dümler & Breiden, model number 1054/22, presents a combination of raw form and expressive glaze characteristic of the mid-century modern era. The vessel is made of dark, heavy ceramic and covered with black, matte glaze, which forms the background for striking fat lava-style decorations. The circumference of the body is dominated by round, convex forms covered with metallic brown glaze, surrounded by transitions in shades of mint green and sea turquoise. These colors flow downwards, creating a foamy, organic structure reminiscent of waves crashing against rocks – an effect enhanced by the natural irregularity of the glaze and the texture of the surface. The form of the vase, with a single handle and elongated neck, is typical of Dümler & Breiden's production from this period. The bottom is marked: “1054/22 Germany” (embossed), which confirms its authenticity. Condition: very good – no cracks or chips.
