Bookcase with bar cabinet, rosewood veneer, Denmark, 1970s

A bookcase with a concealed bar — a solution typical of Danish design of the 1970s, where elegance goes hand in hand with thoughtful functionality. Vemb Møbelfabrik combined two open sections with adjustable shelves and a central bar module featuring a drop-down surface, drawers for bar accessories, and a decorative patterned mirror. Rosewood veneer and black shelving backs create a warm, sophisticated whole. Slender solid wood legs visually lighten the almost two-metre-wide form.
