Italian design coat rack (H170) – travertine base & gunmetal chrome

This freestanding coat rack (1970s/80s) is much more than a functional accessory; it is a modernist sculpture. It stands out for its exceptional craftsmanship and a rare play of contrasts. A square base made of solid Travertine (beige natural stone) with beveled edges. Heavy and stable, it anchors the piece to the ground with a very contemporary mineral aesthetic. Unlike classic chrome, this model features a stunning "Gunmetal" finish (smoked chrome/anthracite) with deep reflections. The whole is enhanced by rings and inserts in gilded brass that illuminate the dark structure. The "palm" or "cascade" shaped head offers four large curved hooks. This airy design allows for hanging coats and hats without distorting the fabrics. Condition: Good vintage condition. The stone is sound (note a discreet chip on the base), and the metal has a beautiful shine.
