Vintage Chinese Porcelain Trinket Box H.F.P. Macau Famille Rose 1970s

Vintage jewellery box in Chinese porcelain with a domed lid, made in China under the supervision of H.F.P. MACAU, as evidenced by its original gold label preserved under the base. The lid features a rich floral decoration inspired by the Famille Rose / Fencai tradition: peonies and other flowers bloom around stylised scholar rocks. The palette combines pink, green, blue, yellow, and red, enhanced by fine dark outlines and a discreet golden border. The decoration is distinguished by its polychrome enamels in slight relief: some branches, flowers, and leaves stand out from the smooth surface of the porcelain, adding depth and texture to the composition. The walls are adorned with lighter floral patterns above a green vegetal frieze. This piece belongs to the Chinese export production of the second half of the 20th century, drawing on the decorative vocabulary of traditional Chinese porcelains within a chinoiserie aesthetic.
