A decorative and elegant elongated glass bowl from the mid-century 1960s — solid, heavy, and beautifully crafted. Designed by Josef Michal Hospodka (1923–1989) and produced by the Chřibská glassworks in Bohemia, Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia). The piece is mouth-blown and hand-formed, created using the Sommerso technique, resulting in a striking layered colour effect in the glass. It features an elegant organic silhouette that showcases a wonderful fusion of layers of red, white, and dark purple glass. Encased in thick clear glass, the outer layer enhances the depth and vibrancy of the inner colours, while the gently curved shape reflects light. A highly decorative mid-century Bohemian glass artwork, equally suited as a display piece or as a functional catch-all bowl. In very good condition.
