A decorative element that is both functional and majestic. The top is adorned with four hat doors and four finely chiselled gilded bronze hooks, fixed on a central ring of gilded metal. The whole is crowned by a wooden finial, turned into the shape of an elegant spinning top. The main part of the pole consists of an impressive solid wood column, sculpted in twists, bringing a lot of dynamism and verticality to the object. At the bottom, the shaft divides into a bundle of several twisted small columns. The whole rests on a circular base, sculpted with flutes, ending in a claw foot of gilded bronze. Perfect stability. In very good condition, with a beautiful patina on the wood and gilding that has retained its brilliance despite some natural signs of oxidation, which testify to its authenticity.
