Louis Philippe oval table with shutters

Elegant small oval table with shutters, late 19th century, louis philippe style, with turned wooden legs. A hidden drawer. Good general condition with numerous traces of life giving it a unique character. These stigmata tell snippets of its history: it has suffered woodworm attacks and major restorations such as the replacement of a leg! Different types of wood compose it, mainly fruitwood (oak for the replaced leg). It has been cleaned and treated. The thinness of its legs makes it more suitable for use as a console or small side table than as a sturdy dining table. It measures 68 cm high (it was formerly mounted on casters), it could possibly be raised by fitting it with brass tips. The central part measures 39.5 cm and the shutters 22 cm each.
