Antique compote dish "Marrons" Longchamp earthenware, polychrome ironstone.

Charming antique compote in fine earthenware, ironstone model "Marrons" from the Longchamp factory, French production from the early 20th century, circa 1910-1930. Polychrome decoration featuring motifs of chestnut leaves, husks, and chestnuts in black, brown, and green tones, on the inside, underside, and foot, in an Art Nouveau style. Height 11 cm, diameter of the bowl 23 cm. The overall condition is very good, the earthenware is slightly patinated in cream/ivory colour, and shows natural crazing of the glaze due to age. There is a discreet hairline crack on the rim. Approximately 450 g.
