Magnificent French wash set signed Jules Vieillard, Bordeaux, circa 1880. Comprising a large pitcher and matching basin, this set in fine polychrome glazed earthenware features the famous "Rouen" motif, inspired by the floral and lambrequin designs of 18th-century faience. The hand-painted blue arabesques, yellow and green highlights, and red lines create a radiant and refined harmony, typical of the Bordeaux manufactory's expertise. The basin shows evidence of an old restoration using metal staples, a rare and poignant 19th-century technique that underscores the piece's historical value. A poetic addition to a bathroom, bedroom, or entryway console. ✨ Details: Manufacturer: Jules Vieillard & Cie, Bordeaux. Period: circa 1880. Model: Rouen. Pitcher: height 33 cm / length 25 cm.
