Unique Dutch design! This Congo chair is a classic design by Theo Ruth for Artifort. Period: 1950s. Beautiful in its simplicity. Theo Ruth was the pioneer of the design tradition of Artifort. He made special designs such as this Congo chair and the Pinguin chair. For this design he was inspired by a chair from Africa and that is also where the chair gets its name from. Still provided with the original purple fabric. The chair consists of a wooden frame with 2 separate parts that hook into each other and can both be separated again.
