Penguin chair by Theo Ruth for Artifort, Netherlands 1950

A beautiful penguin chair by theo ruth for artifort, manufactured in the netherlands in 1957. This iconic chair is newly upholstered in very soft, white fabric on a high quality beech wooden base. The fabric is zinc zumirez moonbeam from the malibu collection and is soft to the touch. The seating and back and armrests are divided in two interlocking pieces, making it possible to change the seating for maximum comfort. This stunning piece of dutch design would make a real eye-catcher in any interior! In very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
