Description: This desk was produced by british furniture manufacturing company g-plan in the mid-twentieth-century. G plan - e. Gomme ltd based in high wycombe, england, a major centre of british furniture manufacturing. The company was revered for its range of high-quality sideboards, tables, and other cabinet goods and for pioneering the concept of furniture designed and made to match. The popular 'floating top' desk derives its name from the design, the work surface 'floats' above the drawers either side of the kneehole. The desk has four drawers and a spacious work surface, the piece has a beautiful rich teak grain, warm tones and rich colours throughout.
