Large carved wooden basket from the Marquesas Islands, folk art

Large wooden basket, from the early 20th century, made of carved Kooka (Ko'oka) wood from the Marquesas Islands, Polynesia, with a beautiful geometric decoration. Note that the wood has been worked, and there is a crack, which does not detract from the charm of this old folk art object. Dimensions: diameter 30 cm and height 11 cm.
