Old Wooden Icebox Stripped – 1930

This piece is an old house icebox typical of the first half of the 20th century. It has undergone a complete stripping, revealing the grain of a very aesthetic light wood. The inner zinc plate has been removed, transforming this functional object into a perfectly clean storage unit usable in any room of the house. It retains its historical attributes: the upper ice compartment with its drainage hole and the lower door fitted with its original compression hardware.
