Pair of small antique napoleon III period candlesticks in chiseled bronze decorated with ivy leaves and fruits and "sèvres blue" shaft. This iconic blue created by the sèvres factory since the 18th century, also called cobalt blue, made from cobalt oxide and fired at high heat. They are in good condition, the bronze ornaments are generous and have many details, the earthenware is also decorated with golden ornaments. Note, a slight lack on the bottom of one of the porcelain balls visible in the photo. Pair of very decorative and charming 19th century french candlesticks on a table or fireplace. It is possible to clean them further to restore the gold but I also find them very beautiful by leaving the patina. Height: 14.5cm diameter: 8cm weight: 500 grams.
