Beautiful pair of handcrafted black pottery bowls from Chamba, Colombia, traditional Pijao craftsmanship, vintage from the 1970s-1980s. Made from clay with a polished black finish, they feature a simple and elegant shape highlighted by two characteristic triangular handles. Minimalist, brutalist, organic aesthetic... One has a diameter of 15cm, a maximum width with handles of 20cm, and a height of 6cm; the second has a diameter of 15cm, a maximum width of 21cm, and a height of 7.5cm. Generally in good condition with no chips or cracks, showing slight surface wear with some crazing, and a few signs of use consistent with their age. Approximately 500g each.
