Peacock chair JH550 by Hans J. Wegner

It is one of the most remarkable armchairs created in 1947 by Hans Wegner, recognised as one of the leading designers of the Danish Mid-Century Modern movement. Nicknamed the "Peacock" by Finn Juhl, this sculptural armchair illustrates Wegner's rigor and artistry in terms of proportions, construction, function, and style. The backrest and its particularly elegant upper edge give it modernity and character. In excellent condition, this seat is presented here in its first version in oak with teak armrests.
