I am selling a set of 6 design chairs by Pierre Paulin, unsigned but typical for the era. Model CM 196, produced by Thonet in the 1960s. Iconic chairs of French modernist design, both elegant, lightweight, and comfortable. Features: Designer: Pierre Paulin. Model: CM 196. Publisher: Thonet. Era: 1960s. Structure: black lacquered tubular metal. Seat and backrest: original black skai on a wooden frame. Approximate dimensions: H 77 × W 46 × D 52 cm. Weight: approx. 7 kg per chair. Condition: Generally good vintage condition. Solid and stable structures. The skai is original with some normal signs of use considering the age (see photos), small tears on some backrests and seats. Chairs are clean and ready for immediate use.
