A vase made in the 1930s in Karlovy Vary by the legendary Moser glassworks is an example of the region's masterful glass craftsmanship. The body, made of semi-transparent glass in a deep, cool purple shade known as manganese glass, impresses with its artistic play of light and remarkable depth of colour. The octagonal, faceted body with a distinct geometric line smoothly widens upwards, topped with a clearly flared collar. The main decorative element is a wide, matte gold band covered with detailed oroplastic with plant and floral motifs typical of Art Deco—the relief on the gilding creates a delicate contrast to the shiny glass surface. The whole is emphasised by the vertical rhythm and symmetry of the proportions. No visible damage, chips, or signs of repair, indicating excellent, collector's condition. The form and materials of this vase seem to be a recorded voice of the era in which it was created: the world of the 1930s is dressed here in luxury and precision, and every edge, facet, and gilded detail becomes a carrier of modernist faith in the power of craftsmanship. The depth of amethyst purple resembles dusk illuminated by café lights, and the golden, matte decoration evokes the sensuality and sophistication of pre-war elegance. The vase seems to tell the story of the interwar period—when tradition and modernity coexist, and everyday objects rise to the role of works of decorative art. In collector's arrangements, the Moser vase can be displayed on a massive, veneered console or marble top, where it will reflect light and emphasise the character of an Art Deco-inspired interior. The decisive colour of the glass is worth combining with neutral fabrics, such as matte wool in dove grey or linen curtains, and the golden decoration can be matched with accompanying accents—small gilded trays or frames. The vase will also work solo as a central element of a composition in a modernist living room or in an eclectic collector's interior full of sophisticated details of applied art.
