Ancient *lebrillo* in Fajalauza ceramic (Granada) – 19th century

Superb and authentic *lebrillo* (large bowl/basin) in Fajalauza ceramic, originating from the Albaicín neighbourhood in Granada (Spain). This piece dates from the 19th century and constitutes a classic example of Andalusian handcrafted ceramics, marked by a Moorish influence. The bowl is entirely hand-painted on a characteristic light background, adorned with a central star floral motif, complemented by a dynamic play of wavy lines arranged radially. The piece showcases the most emblematic and prized colours of this tradition: cobalt blue and copper green. Ideal as a collection piece or decoration element for historical homes, country houses, or eclectic and Mediterranean style interiors. • Origin: Granada, Spain (Fajalauza ceramics) • Era: 19th century • Technique: Glazed earthenware, thrown and hand-painted • Conservation condition: The piece bears traces of time, characteristic and full of charm, notably nicks and chips on the rim (visible in the photos). These marks attest to its authenticity and past use, without altering its structural integrity or aesthetic beauty.
