Pair of gilt bronze wall sconces known as "with parrots" in the Louis XV style, circa 1930. Each sconce features a richly carved parrot perched on a leafy branch. The bronze work is distinguished by the delicacy of the chiselling: detailed plumage, partially spread wings, and a long tapered tail, creating an impression of movement and liveliness. The composition is animated by asymmetrical scrolls, foliage, and scrollwork, forming three light arms per sconce. The arms end in drip pans and bowls decorated with relief floral motifs, characteristic of quality decorative productions from this period. The original gilding has a beautiful old patina, uniform and warm, highlighting the reliefs and attesting to the age of the whole. The electrification likely needs to be reviewed, as the sockets are damaged. Often attributed to the House of BAGUES, in the style of CAFFIERI or CRESSENT. Dimensions: H 47 x W 30 x D 20 cm.
