Identifying this type of furniture is difficult. This first indication was already unexpected... But while searching on the internet, I came across the bulletin of the historical association of the city of Bondy and I found the trace of this Mr. Bassin who ran the beautiful Pharmacie Centrale de Bondy (93) at the beginning of the last century. The first pharmacy opened in Bondy in 1893. Marcel Bassin is the fourth pharmacist in the history of Bondy. He succeeded Mr. Séquier in the central pharmacy on rue Paul Vaillant Couturier with "its beautiful basket-handle window (...) still visible today." Better still, we learn from the pharmacist who succeeded him that Mr. Bassin had "personal problems" which had somewhat (according to this lady) alienated his clientele! In short, a rare pedigree for this superb piece of furniture with a beautiful history. It rests on 4 feet, the two front ones of which are richly turned. Its casters are of very good quality and it moves very easily. The top is inclined and lifts up to reveal a storage space at the bottom of which we find the inscription mentioned. There is a drawer below, decorated with a beautiful chiseled cast iron handle and with a small leaf in relief. The lower space, openwork, is made of wooden panels for storing files. Completely restored, it offers a very pretty patina and oak with elegant rings. Some traces of use but in excellent general condition, perfectly functional. H: 120 cm. W; 64 cm. D: 53 cm. The price is firm, thank you. Delivery to idf and ground floor for 40 euros.
