Luterma chairs

Magnificent set of 4 bentwood bistro chairs from the famous Estonian manufacturer Luterma, dating from the 1920s-1930s. This set stands out for its original moulded and embossed plywood seats, featuring a delicate fan-shaped floral pattern typical of the Art Nouveau / Art Deco period. Each chair bears the valuable brand stamp under the seat ("Luterma - Made in Estonia"), certifying their authenticity. Condition: Very good overall vintage condition. The chairs are perfectly stable and sturdy. The wood has a beautiful light and natural patina, with no modern paint. Note some normal and charming wear: the thermoformed floral pattern is very clear on some chairs and more faded (almost smooth in the centre) on others depending on their historical use. The pattern is very visible on one chair, well visible on the second, less so on the third, and barely perceptible on the fourth. However, the stamp is clearly visible under the seats of the chairs except for one (on which the seat pattern is visible). The wood remains sound and rigid on all four pieces. Ideal for an authentic decoration project. • Classic bistro chair dimensions. • Delivery: Collection in person or via Selency's transport service (costs to be borne by the buyer).
