Twelve flat plates of a proceram earthenware fish set france, cerel workshop, circa 1950. Polychrome earthenware, transparent enamel. Decoration of twelve mediterranean fish, hand-painted under the enamel, on a creamy white background. Signature "am" in the décor. The name, in its local name, of each fish is inscribed on the reverse (the ocellated crenilabre, the sparillon, the scorpionfish, the sublet, the bavarelle, the lozagne, the bogue, the wrasse, the lucretia, the gobi, the st-pierre and the saupe). Manufacture stamp "proceram aubagne en provence / made in france" black on the reverse. Excellent quality, both for the material and for the drawing. In very good condition: no accidents; no trace of use; traces of pernettes on the reverse and normal cracks of the enamel. An exceptional ensemble, from the artistic workshop of a renowned french manufacture, in all its freshness. Diam. 24.5 cm.
