Vintage Danese Milano Ashtray “Borneo”, Enzo Mari Design, Italy, 1967

Original vintage “Borneo” ashtray designed by Enzo Mari in 1967 for Danese Milano, one of the most influential Italian design manufacturers of the 20th century. It is made of black Melamine resin. This iconic object perfectly represents Mari’s philosophy of essential, functional design combined with strong sculptural presence. Originally conceived as an ashtray, the piece also works beautifully as a decorative object, desk accessory, or small catch-all tray in contemporary interiors.
