Antique horizontal mirror with a sculpted wooden pediment and beveled glass. Wood in a hazelnut brown shade with a soft patina. The cornice, highlighted by a frieze of dentils and a row of pearls, features a central cartouche topped with a bouquet of roses. The side columns, adorned with a ribbon bow, a cascade of foliage, and a row of pearls, finish in scrolls at the base. Rectangular glass with cut corners at the upper angles. The dowels under the base indicate that it is likely an old piece of furniture crown, such as a sideboard or dressing table. Probably French manufacture from the late 19th or early 20th century. The decoration of roses, pearls, and ribbon bows reflects the repertoire of the Louis XVI style, widely used in furniture of this period. This mirror can be placed above a console, dresser, sideboard, or fireplace. The sculpted wood can suit a chic bohemian decor as well as a more minimalist interior, contrasting with contemporary furniture. Height: 50 cm, width: 112 cm, thickness: 4 cm. Weight: 17.25 kg. Used condition, with a marked patina, small chips, and missing wood at the base, particularly at the lower right corner, glass overall in good condition.
