Cosack yellow gooseneck clamp lamp, Germany, 1960s/1970s

This bright yellow clamp lamp by Cosack with an adjustable gooseneck was made in Germany, probably in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Rather rare in this colour, the lamp is in very good condition with only a few signs of age and use. This plug-in lamp is designed for an E27 screw bulb and operates with a toggle switch fixed to the base of the clamp. The clamp is designed for a maximum surface thickness of 3 cm, and a new felt protection seems to have been added inside the clamp recently. A sticker on the base bears the Cosack logo as well as the model number 51/9840/38 and the VDE test mark. A second sticker advises the user to bend rather than twist the arm to adjust the light.
