These contemporary pieces of good quality elegantly embody the codes of Chinese lacquer: contrasting colours (black and red), refined golden patterns, and meticulous finishes. Features of each bedside table: Upper drawer with a red lacquered front featuring finely crafted golden patterns and a metal ring handle. Two hinged doors adorned with a large circular red medallion of butterflies and golden flowers. Sides and edges richly decorated with golden butterflies, flowers, and scrolls on a black background. Interior of the doors decorated with Chinese calligraphy and traditional scenes (a lovely detail that adds character). One side features an elegant flower vase in a basket (painted decoration).
