Pair of English style crapaud armchairs – 1960s – Olive green velvet

Pair of English-style crapaud armchairs from the 1960s, fully upholstered in olive green velvet. The backrest is divided into two button-tufted sections with covered buttons. The armrests feature the characteristic curling of the English crapaud style. The seat, wide and deep, is also button-tufted; seat height: 40 cm. The base, without visible legs, is highlighted around its entire perimeter with a braided fringe in bronze/gold-coloured passementerie, typical of the 1960s production. The velvet shows slight and even wear, consistent with the age of the pieces, with no major degradation noted. General condition: good, pieces reported to be very comfortable by the seller. No reupholstering or cleaning interventions reported at this stage. Dimensions per armchair: H. 85 cm – W. 85 cm – D. 85 cm. Estimated individual weight: 30 kg. Sold as a pair only.
