Vintage carafe, clear crystal 24% lead anna hütte germany

Beautiful double-cut crystal decanter in a color. The mouth-blown sides are cut into two panels of frosted grapes and leaves separated by hypotrochoid stars, Xs, and fans. The neck is decorated with groups of three marquise ovals, and the base is decorated with a large star. The large, clear stopper is cut with a ribbed pattern and fits snugly. This tall, heavy lead crystal (24% PbO) decanter is a vintage German piece produced by Anna Hütte GmbH, Windischeschenbach, Bavaria in the 1980s. The pattern name is TRAUBE. This is probably the best-known pattern and was produced by many makers. There is a small, unintentional air bubble that has become trapped in the body of the stopper. Personally, I consider the bubbles to be nice anomalies rather than flaws, attesting to the fact that the decanter was not machine-made, but blown and cut by a craftsman. It is in excellent condition. There are no nicks, dents, chips, scratches, or repairs. The original gold foil sticker is still in place. DIMENSIONS height 42 cm diameter 10.5 cm weight 1456 gr.
