Gilliot ceramic tiles with abstract eye pattern, Belgium 1960

Rare duo of glazed ceramic tiles, made by the famous Gilliot & Cie factory in Hemiksem (Belgium), active since the 19th century and renowned for its exceptional decorative creations. These two 14 X 14 cm tiles form a stylized eye-shaped pattern, in blue, green and white tones with dripping effects, typical of the work of the 60s and 70s. This is an original decorative piece, on the border between abstraction and surrealism, perfect for a wall hanging or to highlight in a characterful interior. • Signed on the back: “Made in Belgium” + workshop references (469X, S4, FC) • Condition: very good, no cracks, intact glaze. • Total dimensions: 28 X 14 cm.
