Magnificent low buffet (sideboard) in solid elm, dating from the 1980s. With its clean lines, integrated geometric handles, and high-quality visible joinery, this piece fits perfectly within the trend of Brutalist and Modernist furniture (in the spirit of the productions of Maison Regain or Pierre Chapo). Solid elm is a noble and rare wood, now highly sought after for the beauty of its wild grain and warm golden hue. Characteristics: Material: 100% Solid Elm (structure, doors, and top). Storage: Large storage capacity with its hinged doors and solid wood drawers (dovetail joints, a guarantee of robustness and craftsmanship). Style: Brutalist, Vintage, 70s/80s Design. General condition: Structure perfectly stable, doors and drawers slide without any issues. The wood has retained its superb original honey patina. Please note (vintage transparency): The piece has lived and shows a darker circular mark on the left side of the top (due to an object being placed there for an extended period, see zoomed photo). As the buffet is made of solid and thick elm, the top can easily be sanded locally or entirely by its future owner to achieve a 100% uniform colour. The price has been adjusted accordingly for this icon of French design. Ideal for a contemporary living room, an entrance hall, or a dining room to bring charm and authenticity. A solid elm table with a bench and chair is also available.
