Large impressionism oil landscape by the well-known swedish painter arne aspelin (1911-1990). It was painted by the artist in the 60's. Handwritten signed in the lower right corner. Made in oil technique on board. In an original period setting. A perfect addition to the interior in the style of mid-century modern or scandinavian modern. Stig arne ragnar aspelin (born may 28, 1911 in stockholm, died september 8, 1990 in stockholm) - swedish painter. Aspelin began working as a commercial artist and professional lithographer before studying art at the skåne school of painting in malmö in 1930 and on study trips to germany and france. He made his debut at the skånes konstförening exhibition in 1935, and then regularly participated in the association's autumn exhibitions and various group exhibitions in the countryside. Together with gustaf sjöö he exhibited at färg och form in stockholm in 1938 and with gunnar ekdahl in ystad in 1948. His art includes still lifes, figural compositions, portraits, street scenes and landscapes in oil, watercolor or tempera. As an illustrator, he illustrated l. Larsson's red lyckta in 1950, and made decorations for a variety show stage for the södra theater in malmö. Aspelin is represented at the malmö museum and the ystad art museum.
