Rare pair of vases created by the artist Hans Wohlrab for the Rosenthal workshops in Selb, Germany, 1950s. Made of fine porcelain and a very soft celadon color, with a thin gold border, this vase designed by Wohlrab for Rosenthal's art department (Kunstabteilung) has an asymmetrical curved shape, and has thus sometimes been called "banana ship." The interior of these two perfectly identical vases is white. The nomenclature of stamps is very codified at Rosenthal: here, green stamp of the Selb art department from the year 1956 (photo). Excellent condition of both vases: no losses, no accidents. Note: a tiny wear of gilding on one vase, a fine trace of friction on one side of the other vase, very barely visible (see double photo with arrows). Height: 16 cm at the highest and 9 cm in the center of the vase. Length: 16 cm. Width: 9 cm. Total weight: 1,050 kg.
