This pretty pitcher will bring a natural and brutalist touch to your interior, as a decorative piece in its own right or decorated with a bouquet of dried flowers. It is made of lightly glazed turned sandstone and decorated with simple streaks in the lower part. This is an artisanal piece of pottery, perhaps made in a monastery workshop if the signature is anything to go by. The signature does indeed include a cross, but also the letters g, s and t (or more likely j because I found another object with an identical signature except that it reads j and not t). Despite numerous searches I have not been able to identify it, but perhaps you will! For my part, I remain open to any information. I am tempted to date it from the 70s because I have other pitchers dated from this period and whose handle is low like this one, but without certainty, it is perhaps older. It is in good general condition but does not hide its age: small discreet chips on the base and a crack which runs 3 cm from the top edge but which remains well joined and barely visible. I will reserve this pitcher for decorative use. It measures 18 cm in height, 8.5 cm in diameter at the opening and 14 cm in width from the spout to the handle.
