4 Dining Chairs in Leather by Giandomenico Belotti for Alias. The Italian industrial designer Giandomenico Belotti designed this postmodern stackable chair in the early 1980s. The structure is made of tubular steel covered in black resin. The upholstery is in black leather. The chairs are beautiful and still make an impression despite their nearly half-century of existence (!) As you can see in the photos: Chair #1: light scratches on the seat leather. Chair #2: 4 cm tear on the seat leather (does not affect the seating) Chair #3: in perfect condition. Chair #4: two defects: the backrest attachments are torn (this does not affect the seating as the backrest remains in place) + the reinforcement on the top of the seat is damaged (this is also not felt when sitting, the rest of the structure and leather hold up) Note: the elastics supporting the seats are stiffer on some than others + the resin-coated steel tubes also have some signs of wear, visible when you get down on all fours and look closely (which is rarely done these days when visiting people!) Overall: the chairs make a very good impression in a dining room, they are sturdy and perfectly usable as they are, but they show signs of their age. Seat height: 44cm.
