Large and deep desk known as "ministerial" with double pedestals, 12 side drawers + 2 large central drawers + 4 sliding shelves. This double desk includes 2 identical workstations facing each other and can be placed in the middle of a room. It dates from the 1930s, largely manufactured between 1932-1938. These double models appeared as early as the end of the 19th century and are prominent in the offices of liberal professions such as lawyers, doctors, etc. This desk is decorated on all sides, with panelling, and allows for clients to be received seated opposite. It has 6 stacked drawers in two side pedestals, and a large central drawer on both sides. It is made of solid oak and has a beautiful original patina. It is in very good condition but shows signs of wear consistent with its age. It has not been renovated. The particularity of this desk is its top decorated with marquetry (oak) featuring a cube pattern, which is very rare in this type of furniture. The handles and locks are made of metal, as are the 4 legs. Dimensions: l 150.5 x h 78 x p 112 cm. Internal dimensions of the 12 drawers: l 32 x h 12 x p 47 cm. Internal dimensions of the 2 central drawers: l 56.5 x h 7 x p 40 cm. Dimensions of the 4 sliding shelves: l 34.5 x h 2 x p 44 cm. The desk is dismountable for transport.
