This impressive and rare rosewood wall unit designed by Thygesen & Johnny Sorensen was made by Danish renowned manufacturer Hansen & Guldborg (HG Furniture) in the 1960s. It is a real gentleman’s must-have. Overall size is H: 168 / W: 273 / D: 50 cm. Very elegant, yet simple in its form, it offers an audio appliances cabinet with inner lamp, a desk with 2 drawers, and also numerous shelves for books and other decorations. It is made from rosewood, rosewood veneer, and brass—materials known for durability and longevity. It is built to last for many more decades. The handles are sculpted from solid wood, and masterful joinery is showcased in the dovetailing of the drawer fronts, a demanding and very rare technique in modern furniture making. The variety of components makes this set perfect both to use as a space to work and to rest after, waiting with your favorite vinyl record or book. This wall system is fully modular. The arrangement of the shelves and cabinets can be easily changed. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with components mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers and metal pins. The set upon the pictures is just an example. The set includes: A cabinet with drawers: H: 49 (with tabletop lifted 84 cm) / W: 89.5 / D: 40 cm, A desk with two drawers H: 24 / W: 89.5 / D: 50 cm, drawers height 6.5 cm, A display shelf 35 cm in height, 8 shelves, 22 cm depth, 4 teak montage rails, each 168 cm long, Brass hangers. The unit has been renovated and remains in perfect condition. The drawers are clean and operate smoothly, and the wood has been cleaned and finished with satin lacquer which enhances its natural beauty. The stamp confirms the authenticity of the furniture’s origin.
