This set of 3 bistro or mazagran glasses is made of thick blown glass. They have been mouth-blown and feature irregularities and bubbles, showcasing this glassmaking craft. These lovely antique glasses are cut with flat ribs. They are glasses used in bistros and cafés in the 19th and early 20th centuries, likely absinthe glasses: absinthe glasses had a reservoir at the bottom, an engraved line, or a cut base for the dose of absinthe, which was then diluted with water. The rim is wide. These glasses are in good condition and measure 13.5 cm in height and 7.5 cm in diameter at the rim. Please note: scratches and bubbles in the glass.
