Pair of garden chairs by Francois Carre, France 1950

A lovely pair of francois carre garden chairs, manufactured france around 1950. These chairs were commissioned by famous designer le corbusier making them valuable pieces of design history! The legs and backrest are elegantly curved, the seats have a sunburst motif which smoothly follows the shape of the chair. They are completely made of metal and have “la menagere” perforated into the center of the seat, after the project they were used for. Sold as a set. The chairs remain in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with a age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
