This charming fine stoneware pitcher with a beautiful light blue enamel tending towards sea green (impossible to render the real color in the photos, in reality the color is very slightly greener), comes from the famous family factory revol which has been established in saint uze in the drome since 1768. The history of this family factory which still produces today is very interesting (revol website and wikipedia). This factory is particularly known for its bottles for alcohols or for berger lamps but also for its advertising ceramics for lustucru for example, without forgetting the most famous, the ricard pitcher. Underneath, it is stamped "terre d'acier - revol- saint uze" and has the model number 503 indented. The shape of this pitcher is elegant, with beautiful proportions. It dates from the late 1930s or early 1940s. In fact, I found this model in an extract from the company's commercial catalog from 1937 where it is presented as a "coffee pot". It is in good general condition, no chips or chips, but it still has small signs that testify to its age: 2 marks on the inside, superficial crack or cracking of the enamel, not through. It therefore seems to me that it can still be used for serving, but it will also make a beautiful decorative element, alone or in a collection with other ceramics and why not decorated with a bouquet of dried flowers. It measures 12 cm in height, 14.5 cm in width (from the handle to the spout), 11.5 cm in maximum diameter.
