Bauhaus, Art Deco, Functionalism. Floor or table. Very rare model. Marked by label. This is an early 1900s collector's lamp made by Albert L. Arenberg, an Electrical Engineer and inventor, who created a Light Manufacturing company called Luminator Inc. In the early 1900s. He commissioned Bauhaus trained designer s Wolfgang and Pola Hoffman, son and daughter-in-law of famed Architect/Designer Joseph Hoffman, founder of the Vienna Secession, to design a series of livable, streamlined lamp designs, and this is one of them! The "Shadowless Lamp" utlizes a specially designed Reflector shade that breaks up the light rays and disperses them evenly in every direction, and with equal intensity, eliminating shadows and eye strain. The lamp has a MOGUL socket that accepts light bulbs up to 300 watts, virtually lighting an entire room! Inside is a label.
