Pair of Montreal armchairs by Olivier Mourgue (1939-), produced by Airborne for the Mobilier National-Atelier de recherche et création, France, 1967. Structure made of fibreglass, foam, and fabric of choice, with chrome metal feet. Commissioned by the Mobilier National for the French pavilion at the 1967 World Expo. The internal structure of the seats, made of moulded polyester, forms a shell dressed in foam and covered with a fully removable red jersey cover. An iconic piece of French design, rare on the market.
