283 coffee table by Johannes Andersen for Silkeborg Møbelfabrik, 1960

This series of tables was one of Andersen's most popular. The unique construction techniques and quality materials showcase the designer's unique style. The bevelled edges of the legs and tabletop soften the feel of the piece and are the highlight of the design. The unique joining of the legs to the tabletop are also noteworthy. The rosewood employed on this example is outstanding and has some magnificent grain patterns.
